We know this isn't easy for anyone and we genuinely appreciate your patience as we work hard to get this right for our customers and staff. If you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms, please do not shop with Farm Express. We recommend coordinating with a site manager to pick up your produce for you. Thank you for your kindness and consideration.
We've worked hard to build trust within the communities we serve. We want to keep you safe while you shop, so we've developed rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols to ensure our mobile market service is as safe as possible for customers and team members.
To ensure the safety of all team members, volunteers, customers, and community members at each of our community sites, Farm Express will expect and follow the protocols outlined below. The Farm Express team asks that each site manager displays this information for community members and residents prior to each Farm Express mobile market visit.
All staff, volunteers, customers, and community members will be expected to stay 6 feet apart while in line or ordering from the bus.
Staff will lay markings on the ground at each site 6 feet apart before opening in order to help customers know where to stand while waiting to order from the bus.
Masks will be worn by all staff and volunteers.
Masks are mandated for all customers and community members to wear while waiting in line, ordering, or otherwise engaging with Farm Express at their site.
If a customer does not have a mask, Farm Express will provide single use masks for those who need them.
Customers cannot be served without a mask.
If a customer refuses to wear a mask, the staff or volunteer will politely explain to them that due to city regulations and safety guidelines put forth by the CDC, they cannot be served at this time.
This mask mandate will be displayed via a written sign in front of the bus.
Hand sanitizer will be provided by Farm Express at each site.
A plexiglass barrier will be placed between the cashier and customer as an additional measure of protection.
All point-of-sale equipment will be sanitized using bleach cleaner in between each customer transaction.
All surfaces, hand sanitizing bottles/stations, barriers, tables, and other frequently touched items and surfaces will be wiped and sanitized by staff in between each site.
A menu board will display the Farm Express local produce offerings and cards will be on the table listing every produce item we have with photos.
Customers will place their produce order with a staff member while remaining outside of the bus. Produce will be kept at the checkout table until it is the customer’s turn to pay for their produce.
Whenever possible, customers will insert their credit card or EBT card directly into the point-of-sale terminal. Cash and Double Up Food Bucks coins will be placed on a tray and passed through an opening at the bottom of the plexiglass barrier.
Signs will be posted by staff at each site upon arrival to remind customers of mask and social distancing requirements.
